The Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) awarded Assistant Professor Dr Lee Tin Sin (picture) from the Department of Chemical Engineering, the Faculty of Engineering and Science, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) the IEM Young Engineers Award 2012 on 21 April 2012.

Top Glove (TG) Foundation and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) signed an agreement to establish the chair of Top Glove Professor of Chemistry at the Head Office of Top Glove Corporation Berhad in Klang on 18 April 2012.

Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) was among the 22 public and private institutions of higher learning selected to sign an agreement with the Ministry of Health (MoH) on 16 April 2012 at Hospital Tapah to share their resources with the hospital.
