Tips for taking a Taxi at Airport (Malaysia)

AT KLIA (International Arrival Hall)

1.       Two options: KLIA EXPRESS (train) and TAXI. Recommendation: TAXI.

2.       KLIA Express train goes to KL Sentral, and you will have to take a taxi to the hotel from there.

3.       If you are two or three traveling together, it is cheaper to take the taxi straight to the hotel.

4.       A taxi can take 3 or 4 passengers.

5.       It is better to buy the taxi coupon (counter immediately after the custom before the main exit), as the price is fixed. There are metered taxis outside the airport, but the prices are not too reliable.

6.       Please be mindful of touts.

At LCCT (Budget Terminal)

1.       Upon arrival, you can go to the taxi counter (on your left side just before you exit the arrival gate). Buy the taxi coupon. The price is fixed for the destination.

2.       If you are two or three traveling together, it is cheaper to take the taxi straight to the hotel.

3.       There are buses run direct to KL Sentral. It is cheaper. You then take a taxi from KL Sentral to the hotel. Not recommended if you have heavy luggage.

4.       Please be mindful of touts.

Have a safe trip!

Local, Regional, and Transnational:
Chinese Overseas Reconsidered

In recent decades, three forces have asserted tremendous influence on Chinese Overseas: localization, regionalization and transnationalism. Localization relates to issues such as political socialization, cultural identity, indigenization and citizenship ; regionalization covers pertinent questions such as integration, economic investments and networking, and transnationalism tells the tales of globalization, migration , and international relations. The major objectives of the 8th International Conference of ISSCO are to re-examine the impact of these forces on the lives and the study of Chinese Overseas.
