A very warm welcome to Faculty of Business and Finance UTAR!

Though UTAR is still considered a relatively young university by any standard, we would like to emphasize that we do not compromise on both research and educational quality. We are committed to provide a university education that is at the cutting edge of knowledge, and has contemporary and professional relevance. As of today, FBF provides seven degree programmes as follow:

·        Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons)

·        Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) Accounting

·        Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) Banking & Finance

·        Bachelor of Marketing (Hons)

·        Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) Entrepreneurship

·        Bachelor of Economics (Hons) Financial Economics

·        Bachelor of Finance (Hons)

These six programmes cater to various fields of specialization that would interest students in accounting, finance, marketing, entrepreneurship and management.

As per vision laid out by our president, Prof. Engr. Dato' Dr Chuah, FBF would strive to ensure a holistic campus experience that builds the portfolio of an all-round graduates. In this sense, other than academic achievements, students are encouraged to participate actively in clubs and societies. This not only helps to improve the students' organizing and leadership skills but also to promote building of team spirit.

The faculty currently has a total of 2,023 students and 68 academic staff. With the expansion of our campus in Kampar, we expect the numbers to increase in the coming months if not years. I am pleased to say that UTAR graduates especially from FBF are well-received in the commercial world and the performance of the graduates attest to the quality of the university. We certainly strive to improve further and, finally, I very much hope that you will enjoy studying with us and that you will make the most of the abundant opportunities that are yours as a student of FBF.
