UTAR renews agreements with QUT

Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) renewed an International Cooperation Agreement and a Student Exchange Agreement with the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) at UTAR Petaling Jaya Campus on 9 February, 2012.

Under the International Cooperation Agreement, both UTAR and QUT will deepen co-operation and exchanges in all areas of mutual academic interest, including the development of joint venture projects, the organisation of joint academic and scientific activities like courses, conferences, seminars, symposia or lectures, staff and student exchanges, and the exchange of materials and publications of common interest.

Meanwhile, the Student Exchange Agreement allows for the acceptance of full-time students (with a maximum of two students) in both universities' undergraduate or postgraduate programmes, for one full academic semester. The exchange programme will encompass all academic fields at both institutions.

Both agreements were signed by Ir Prof Academician Dato' Dr Chuah Hean Teik, UTAR President and Scott Sheppard, QUT Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International and Development).

QUT was represented by Jason Leggatt, Regional Manager for South and Southeast Asia, the Middle East and the Pacific, Andrew Paltridge, International Director, QUT Business School, Nelson Ng, International Manager, Faculty of Science and Engineering, and Cate Gilpin, International Manager, Creative Industries Faculty. UTAR was represented by Dr Tan Sin Leng, Director, Division of Community and International Networking and members of the Faculties of Creative Industries, Engineering and Science, Business and Finance and Arts and Social Science.

 



UTAR representatives and QUT delegates at the agreement renewal
